A Note from Mrs. Dohm

I am a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania and have my Master’s degree in reading. I have been teaching second grade for seven years.

Second grade is a fun year where students sharpen their reading and math skills and improve their writing capabilities. One of my favorite parts about being a teacher is allowing students to work together as a team to achieve goals. Incorporating hands-on and movement activities is something I strive to do in each part of our day.

Teaching is my passion because seeing students grow and reach their goals is an invaluable reward.  I am excited to help your child achieve their fullest potential!

A Note from Mrs. Marsala

Hello! I am a 2002 graduate of West Chester University.   Along with taking many Masters' courses through Penn State, Clarion University, and Wilkes University, I have my certification in Instructional Technology.  This is my 19th year teaching in Dallastown and my 10th year teaching at Leaders Heights Elementary.

Second grade is my favorite grade to teach.  Students love to learn and are becoming more independent each day.  My classroom is a cooperative learning classroom where every student is respected and responsible for their learning.  Take a glance in my classroom, and you'll see students working together, sitting around the room in flexible seating arrangements, and talking to one another.  It's a very fun and enjoyable atmosphere!

I am excited to have your child as part of my class this year.  I look forward to challenging them to reach their goals and being the best student they can be.  "Believe and you will achieve, try and you will reach the sky!"
